The BEATUS Wellness- & Spa-Hotel in Merligen on Lake Thun is truly a top address in a prime location. Anyone who stops here will be delighted by the wide range of dishes at the highest 5-star level – and by the high chairs from KRAABE.
So where should we begin? With the breath-taking view of Lake Thun that includes a backdrop of the Bernese Alpine panorama? Or the 262-metre-long jetty owned by the hotel? Perhaps the wellness and leisure facilities? Or maybe the culinary orientation, which relies on regional, seasonal products as well as fish and meat sourced solely in Switzerland? By the way, the menu naturally includes vegan and vegetarian alternatives too. “Our guests can really experience and try out some different things,” says Sebastian Moser, General Manager of HLS Hotels & Spa AG, that owns not just the Hotel Beatus in Merligen, but also the Ermitage in Gstaad-Schönried. “Even though we have an awful lot to offer, our main concern is wellness, pure relaxation for body and soul.” No matter whether you are enjoying a lunch, a weekend or a longer stay at the health resort: everything here is at the top level.
Nothing is left to chance
From young couples, families, right through to older guests – customer satisfaction at the Hotel Merligen is very high. “The feedback is excellent in the majority of cases,” says the Manager Sebastian Moser. “But we do do everything we can to pamper our guests.” It’s clear that in a traditional house like Hotel Beatus, nothing is left to chance. Not just when it comes to the customers, but also with regard to sustainability. Consistent waste separation, LED lamps installed in every room and a fleet of vehicles that are largely electric vehicles speak for themselves. “We are also currently building a system to use lake water for heating,” says the Manager Sebastian Moser. “In future, we want to heat the salt-water spa with thermal energy generated from water.”
High chairs always handy
Hotel Beatus is also open-minded when it comes to high chairs. “When I arrived here, the high chairs in use were made of plastic,” says Sebastian Moser. “Chairs that were hard to clean, which are an absolute no-go for a hotel or restaurant.” In search of new seats for very small and slightly bigger children, the Manager happened across KRAABE. He had the chairs demonstrated and ordered some for his two businesses. “The benefits are obvious. This high chair is stable, space-saving and the children sit comfortably.” The feedback from guests is also positive. “The high chairs are always close at hand anywhere children may be found.” And: “The chairs definitely bring added value. I would order them again any time.” Which translates as: five stars for KRAABE.
